poem #82

A Poem by bishmas

I'd never walked so far
as I had that night
when the twelve hundred miles
burned imprints on my soles.

And I'm glad that I did
because then I got to
see you with my own true
heart, a heart that waves beats on through.

But when I told you how
devastating your dry gaze was,
you turned your head to
the window, to look for a response.

A response I never received.
And I think you were
an Angel but I don't know
because I've never met one before.

About
I finally felt I needed a place to put these poems. They were written on undetermined dates (for the most part) between 2007 and now, ongoing. They might have meant something at the time of writing.. more..
