poem #63

poem #63

A Poem by bishmas

Today it snowed but today was sunny
as the blend of both begat
a struggle of power.
At once, a sky so blue as
to halt the Earth was hidden
from view as flakes fell.
The clouds dimmed the sun,
the wind swirled tree tops,
sent birds into a flutter.
Silver cotton surrounded the
sky so sure of itself in blue,
casting an icy dark upon the Don.
And as the birds did calm,
so did the flakes, and
golden beams painted below.
For while the weather makes
weak our spirit, the sun
will shine on and on and on.

About
I finally felt I needed a place to put these poems. They were written on undetermined dates (for the most part) between 2007 and now, ongoing. They might have meant something at the time of writing.. more..
