poem #24

poem #24

A Poem by bishmas

In 24 years my mind’s been rewired

From the heights of acceptance, to the depths of questions

From the peak of youth, to the pit of the truth

And from my chains of fear, I broke to live again

Down the broken street, through their dark door

To an alter, nation by nation we are held

Beneath a sea of scandal, between the wool and eyes

Break the banquet, fight the power, disregard the lies

Hundreds of thousands, in vain and in pain

A disgruntled trust funded force, flattened to bone for resource

To power your minds, with charisma and ease

To ensure us all there will be Middle Peace

About
I finally felt I needed a place to put these poems. They were written on undetermined dates (for the most part) between 2007 and now, ongoing. They might have meant something at the time of writing.. more..
