Stones

Stones

A Poem by Bipolarbear.979
"

Religious poetry

"

Passing over dry ground

Where water had been moments before

Until the nation had crossed

The Jordan

Chosen as one of the Twelve

A man for every Tribe

To retrieve a stone

As Adonai commanded Y’hoshua

So Y’hoshua commanded us

Heavy upon the shoulder

We gathered each stone

Placed in the midst of the Jordan

Across from where the Covenantal Ark

Had parted its waters

To remind the Children of Isra’el

The Power of El Shaddai
