The Beach

The Beach

A Poem by Bipolarbear.979
"

Psych ward poetry (once I was back on my meds)

"

Waves lapping gently on the beach

     Slowly licking the shore

Fiery sunrays breathing down

Absorbing ocean droplets from the skin

Gulls crying out in song

     Gliding through the air

Fins breaking the water’s surface

     Dolphins playing in the surf

Children gathering buckets of sand

Building the castles of their imagination

Soft cotton fabric beneath

A barrier between body and earth

Enjoying a cold drink

     And one perfect day
