A Leaf

A Leaf

A Poem by Bipolarbear.979
"

I saw a clump of stubborn leaves still clinging to a tree in late winter, it with my relationship issues at the time inspired this ditty.

"

The leaf hugs its limb

Long after the rest have let go.

Throughout Winter:

One foot… three feet of snow,

Yet still it clings.

It does not realize that it is past

Time for release.

Mid-February it is still there,

Embracing the hope that it will remain

Forever,

To find its love again.

I am a leaf.
