Ants

Ants

A Poem by Benjamin Briggs
"

A poem about how we should live our lives. To the fullest

"
Tiny creatures working hard to build great monuments of marvel, regardless of the hue portrayed on Nature's easel.

Work. Work. Work.

We fumble for excuses to justify our complacency and indolence and all the while a life as minute as a rice grain possesses more motivation than we in all our entirety.  It is a wonder that we can look up to something so far beneath us.

Great leaders have built towering empires beyond imagination, yet most cannot even hold fast their link of society.

A tiny fish in the tiny fishbowl called the mind.  Break the glass and swim into the great pond of life.

Carry out your dreams with all your might and live to be as huge as an ant.

Sweet! You're right it doesn't rhyme. :) I HONESTLY think it's a very nice free/blank verse poem. It's true take the little things for granted. Nice. Inspired by Ants Marching perhaps? :) Keep writing!
