paradox

paradox

A Chapter by melissa

If I stomp my feet really loud, will anyone hear me?

I am the sound of one hand clapping
Of cold ice burning
in a freezing pool of fire
still but turning
in that lonely place
of love's lost labour
and silken bloody lace

a bucket of water
pours on my chest
tearing the life
straight from my breast
it drowns my heart
which cries in pain
how it never wants to part
