Call to Consider

The force of time is strong.

Time is cruel in its forward gaze

     for it cares not at all of yesterdays;

     To do again it would embrace

     just as not begin or to displace;

What we know of time is place

     where we exist in a vast dark space;

     Within ourselves there is a spark

     calling but if we only will hark;

So sit, be still, on life embark

     a moment moves on, a memory will park;

     Along the way where a year goes by

     as you slowly find your quest of why;

Study the rules as you must comply,

     decide what you call a resounding I,

     Strike a chord in the strings of heart,

     and let tone diminish long after you part;

The struggle is real so you must be smart

     a rational mind is a hard one to start,

     but end is real and while is short

     so gather your strength and give your retort!

Now 55 years into my life I look back and think, " where the f**k did those years go"
Jeez , I remember like yesterday playing as a small kid yet soon the ol' reaper will come a searching for my last breath.
