Clicking Sounds

Clicking Sounds

A Poem by Footprints al carbon
"

How fast can you type?

"
The clicking sound
an old dog walking across a hardwood floor
     a life in motion
     going from bowl to bed
     stopping only for a pet.

The clicking sound
a writer tapping furiously away at the keys
     an idea in motion
     going from mind to web
     stopping only to think.

The clicking sound
a harmony for the lonely ticking of time
it's the clicks that you add to the ticks
it's the pets and the ideas that you gave
     the clicks of life
just a stroke in the the portrait of time.

click... click... click...

About
I'm a part time poet, usually during waking hours. An idea must be fed and put to bed in harmonic frequency as to the sun moving about the sky. Poetry is exhausting so burn clean my peoples. more..
