Giving is having had.

The highest holiness of human hope is to:

   see another and see their sight,

   hear another and hear their cry,

   touch another and touch their soul,

   speak of another and speak their story,

   walk with another and walk their path,

   teach another and teach their condition,

   yield to another and yield their concern,

   wait for another and wait their change,

   help one another and help their pain,

   smile on another and smile with them,

   give to another what you wish most to keep,

   give yourself.

Perhaps for some. Life is for living, live it. If you can lend a hand, raise a smile, be of comfort, then do it, but always remember there are no special prizes for selflessness just a hole in the ground or the crem', just the same as all the selfish b******s.

Thanks for the review. I agree: live and let live. I just prescribe to a bit of a pessimistic worldview, one in which others will not have the chance to live if you don't give something away that you deeply value. The golden rule to me is to do unto others as I will ultimately choose to do unto myself.
