The Last Rose

The Last Rose

A Poem by Billy Van
"

I gave this to my beloved wife on Valentines Day with 11 real red roses and one fake black one.

"
A dozen roses,
A heart at stake;
Eleven are real
But one is fake.
Don’t feel cheated;
Dry your eyes.
I will love you until
The last rose dies.

In love with the sweet tone you express in your poems, to do this is so unbelievable. I'd love it if you could message me some of your poetry or send me a read request to keep me updated... It's just perfect. Wonderful theme.

This is brilliant poem of lifelong devotion to love - I really like how you used a fake item to portray real feelings - very cleverly done. I really didn't know what the final significance of the fake rose was going to be and I was really pleasantly surprised.
Excellent Billy Van
