My Life

My Life

A Poem by billy R

Dang just counting down the minutes till the final bell rings and to go home. And see my blue machine, be able to sit on the narrow seat and turn that key from off to on. Push the start button feel the tremble run from my finger tips to the tips of my toes. Nothing feels better then sitting on your bike and sliding your helment on. When you pull the clutch and push the shifter down to first you have your life in your thumb. Lining up to the jump feels incredible the excitement goes to every square inch of your body then you drop the clutch then it’s your life in your thumb. You hit the jump sailing threw the air nothing feels better when your in the air looking down and nothing under you except for space. Then you land you feel accomplished you have beaten a fear. Just cruzing 60 mph feeling the wind come threw your helment feeling every bump hauling a*s down an old dirt road then you realize your life is in your thumb.

Right on, Billy. I like what you write. I want to see more. You have a good sense of story in your poem here. The images add up well together.
