SEARCHING

SEARCHING

A Poem by Bill Grimes Jr.

Seductive ways
And power plays
Life goes on
Yet another day
I really should slow down my speeding brain
Synapse firing snippets
Bombard me constantly
But this I know dear reader
Bored as hell I’ll be
Without the search for perfect symmetry
Flaccid feeling
Change of heart
Shattered essence
Faded art
Light years apart
I still cherish beauty
Art
Higher consciousness
May I never lose this gift
In today’s spiritual drift
