AMBIVALENT

AMBIVALENT

A Poem by Bill Grimes Jr.

Broken dreams
Empty ambition
Crestfallen mindset
Solemn privacy
Death surrounds me
Amusing at times
No fear for the record
Merely spitting truth
Selfishness
Shallow people
Take my breath at times
Surrounded by grace
Blessed beyond my worth
Life
Blasting holes in my lucidity
Connection with a sacred few
Reaching out to millions
Alone in so many ways
Solitary journey
Perhaps my destiny
My brain
Filled with words to share
My heart
Weary
Hesitant
Ambivalent
