TEXAS ROMANCE

TEXAS ROMANCE

A Poem by Bill Grimes Jr.

He loved Bonnie
She loved Clyde
Reckless lifestyle
Stolen rides

Forbidden romance
Captured hearts
Public villains
From the start

Red roses
Tommy Guns
Easy money
On the run

Rampant crimes
Storied fall
Wanted posters
Sirens call

Ambushed death
Louisiana style
Tragic end
No fair trial

Demise was instant
Early dawn
Fabled outlaws
Their legend lives on

I love the rhyming pace of it, but also the tale it told.
It was broken in a completely good way as if I skimmed to
the good parts in a big novel . It was very thrilling I enjoyed
it nice work.

i love the rythm. the fast paced setting here, too. i just looked up at the title, and i adore that corrolation. "early dawn" like the double meaning here.
