A Poem by Bill Grimes Jr.

I hear the loud clatter
Explosive rhetoric
I feel death all around us
Creeping loss of innocence
I also witness love
Widespread
Hard to camouflage
Beacon in the darkness
Hope to all who need it
My choice has been simple
To embrace brotherhood
Not so hard to fathom
When focused on AGAPE

I admire the rhythm and progression of this piece.
The way each line painted a wide portrait and then rallied around one word... Agape.
I believe that brilliance is defined in a writer when he or she is able to convey several pages of thought with very few words and the thought not lose its potency.
As always I thoroughly enjoyed reading and this piece along with your other writings are vivid truly brilliant.

Excellent write!
