ENCHANTING COMMUNION

ENCHANTING COMMUNION

A Poem by Bill Grimes Jr.

“You make me feel amazing”
Her dancing eyes
Tightly shut
Yet hoping for a glimpse
Of loves blinding ray
Despite circumstance
Against crushing odds
Daydreams frolic
Knocking patiently
Etiquette answers
Melancholy’s home
She speaks of Wordsworth
Digs The Cure
Tenderness
Soft summer rain
Her gentle ways
So sensitive
Genuine
Graceful
Rhythm pounding
Inside his fragile mind
Sheer passion
Coursing
Sacred blood
Shared so long ago
Needing her
Silently
He bleeds
She dwells front and center
His heart
An open book
To climb inside awhile
Their magical place
Enchanting communion
Sadness
Dark things flee
Acceptance arrives
Hope
Remains indwelled
Natural
So good
Sleepless nights invade
Intuition territory
Soon flowing words
Soothe their restless souls
Such logic
Never mind
Forever unexplained
And never meant to be

Oh, what a melancholic ending with such hope and transcendence throughout. Wordsworth is one of my favorite poets especially the work 'We Are Seven' - I have written a poem about that. Thank you for sharing such a delight.

I like this alot. It is nearly a list in the sense of things that happen and make things happen.... there is a pulse and a dance to this that makes a smile just happen as I read. Of course, any woman that "Digs the Cure... well, I just resemble that remark.... haha...... I like this and, well, any time you are told by a woman with closed eyes that you just made her feel amazing.... well.... maybe this only had to be one line long!!! haha - excellent images here...
