BRUISED IMAGINATION

BRUISED IMAGINATION

A Poem by Bill Grimes Jr.

Swirling sands
Meander through a broken fence
Dusty shards
Fragmented dreams
Fade slowly out to sea
Once so proud
Filled with glowing fervor
Lifeless black orbs
Now blankly stare
Barren temperament
Threshold to his anguished soul
Vague memories remain
Old man lingers
Wordless
Clinging to his bruised imagination

This is the first piece that I have read by you and it was full of imagery. Hopefully that doesn't sound too cliche! Ha! I can't wait to get to read the rest of your work! Take care. Cheers, lea
