TENDER ROSE OF SHARON

TENDER ROSE OF SHARON

A Poem by Bill Grimes Jr.

Broken light
Cascades the garden mist
Refractive effervescence
Prism from the morning dew
Ablaze in the sacred garden
Springs tangerine glow
Illustrious jeweled blossom
Soft Hibiscus petals
As delicate angel’s wings
Ruby throated humming birds
Surround her throne in reverence
Perfect Bride so fair
Amaranthine seduction
Earth Mother’s warm embrace
Fertile womb bears nectar sweet
Precious portal to life immaculate
Fruitful lady indeed
Her sublime buds ebullient
Sacred gift from God above
In honor of His glory
Stunning Rose of Sharon
How vivid is her beauty
Such pleasure she bestows
Symbolic
Majestic
Feminine
Grace exudes from her delicate folds
In timeless ceremony
