SOUL THESIS

SOUL THESIS

A Poem by Bill Grimes Jr.

Precocious thoughts
Tranquility
Imperfect circumstance
No need for human eyes to see
Just faith
Blind
Consuming
Soul thesis
Word for word
Significant
Yet simple
Impatience
Chokes discernment
Fosters discontent
Social theories
Fad affairs
Boring dissertations
Weary from the drama
Impending epilogue
Searing eyes
Hypocrisy
Futile exploration
No need for resolution
Righteousness prevails

I really enjoy poems with short lines, as they seem to move you along quickly without rushing. This is a great example, and the word choice is spectacular.

An affirmation poem! My grandfather always told me justice (righteouseness) will prevail.........smile.
