RAINDROP

RAINDROP

A Poem by bihxy
"

the poem depicts the daily hustle of your average human being to keep their true feelings in check. We often hide our feelings or opinions in life under the pretext of it being the right thing .

"
Oh raindrop,
Rolling down my cheek,
Shame me not,
For I know your true identity,
By your salty taste on my lying tongue.

I get the feeling that the subject of the poem is not a raindrop, but a tear. The speaker knows the cause of the tear, but the tongue has a reluctance to name it. A lot is being said or inferred in five brief lines.
