I Hate New England

I Hate New England

A Poem by Hannah Davenport

The east coast

with its cheap, seductive breath

rapes language, conceives and

births poets.

They sprout and blossom on the

yacht-deck, the urban street,

stinking up

the western states (the impure,

undeserving b******s).

It is not

possible to undercut

their majesty.

Their s**t.

Aaah, I live in New England too. I really like the "seductive breath" line.. Short, sweet, to the point. Write on.
