Dear sweet mother o' mine

this poem is dedicated to my mother. she died about 3 years ago. I think I wrote this last year.

Dear sweet mother O' mine

Oh how your smile would shine

If only you were alive, then my life would be just fine

 

Dear sweet mother O' mine

If only you had stopped

If you did, I would not have tears to mop

 

Dear sweet mother O' mine

You will always be my mother

And promise you always, I will never have another
