Spring to Life

Spring to Life

A Poem by bigfootprint
"

Windblown sentries smile in verdant hues

"

Spring burgeons

In pregnant pause

Sensing Aries's cue

To welcome rebirth.

Windblown sentries

Smile in verdant hues,

Mirrored in turbid,

Translucent waters.

Whose surfaces lap,

Roil and wave hello

To myriad creatures

Eager to sip and bathe

In its concupiscence.

Soon nature's army

Will flutter and creep

In noisy affirmation.

Even vilest humans

Will kneel and bow

In stark supplication.

Everyone loves springtime when the ladies blush at what the guys think about all year.

Everything springs to life in this season, having been isolated in winter. not only the flowers and fauna, but life itself, people come out of their hiding, and whhop it up... in many ways... I like all the imagery you used to show us the liveliness of spring, even the ocean says hello and "even the vilest of humans will kneel and bow".... You put a lot into this short poem... it shows!

Wondrous comment on springtime, with vivid images and flowering thoughts; rebirth anew; movement of people drawn to smell the buds; but what will destroy the good is up to those enjoying it. Great write!
