Ah, tis such a soothing poem describing how simply simplicity can content our life!
City full of horns, crowd, busyness, rush....just tires the soul...and a relaxing countryside is the best curing scenario then....a really amazing poem you've shared....thanks bfp :)

Thanks Tahsin, I had to live in a big city to appreciate my roots. I came home.

The simplest things in life can bring the most pleasure, and being at one with nature is probably the best example of this.

We get to know nature around us in the country. It becomes a type of love, a feeling of belonging. Unlike the city where things constantly change, the country bathes us in contentment and familiarity.
I needed this to cool me down and mellow me out from the blistering heat in my atmosphere...here everything is wilted and dropping from the day's heat endurance. This is like a tall glass of lemonade and a shady lawn chair spot!
Your poem is a mix of predictable happy-time observations, punctuated by unexpected sparkling observations that end up making this much more original than ordinary (which is what I was thinking at the start, but then your message surprised me along the way). I relate to your authors note, since I grew up far from the closest small town, then I did the lifetime career crap which requires some existing amongst throngs, but now I'm back to living in a remote cabin & loving it. The deep-down contentment you express is exactly how I feel living my current life (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

It is such a soothing read and reflects my own appreciation for nature's gifts. I'm a city girl myself. Born in London, lived there for 8 years but could NEVER go back to live there. Can barely even visit. Hope you are well.
This is delightfully sensual. Took me back to my being a kid, when being a kid allowed such time and such openness to the immediacy of environment; a natural environment. A natural splendour with surround sound and High def.
A very nice read.
