Our era

Our era

A Poem by The Elder Pine

Held back the day they did
Bid Farwell to the age of men
Whom Ink flowed within

As the requiem droned on
The bells knell sounded extinction
Corporate conglomerates and cadavers
Keen to behold the bodies burning

Little did the shepherds see?
Beneath the sea, iron oceanic swells
Stirred a storm of revolution

Revelation, dead men rise again
Pointing the nib, lifting the quill
Demonstrating the concentrated
Power of the artist’s skill!

Joined as the raging tide
The hour of reckoning
Appears, this is absolution!
Stand fast for the common ground
Our age, begins upon this day!

About
Writing is my savior. It has become my outlet and my release, as well as my greatest passion. I dream of a career as a poet, possibly sprinkling in a few novels along the way. I operate on two levels.. more..
