Long awaited

Long awaited

A Poem by The Elder Pine

Send our regards upon these cards
Silver bows and copper kisses
Rainbows raining down

Joined this day in early may
Summer’s love here to stay
We stand hand in hand

Your brown eyes mixing with my hazel
Heart throbbing with bride
Overflowing, bubbling and effervescing
Passion expressed only by our glance

We step into the clouds
I wrap my hand around yours
We take this journey
Matrimony-long awaited

At last, at last
We are the earth
We are the sky
Sterling stars above
Diamonds in the night

This was lovely and very heart warming. Though there was one line that I wasn't sure whether or not there was a typo in it, it was the line "Heart throbbing with bride".....did you mean pride instead of bride? Bride works but it's a bit awkward so I'm not quite sure.
