This TrustA Poem by atruephoenixBlood of an aching heart spilling on to the page to form the words that will eventually lead to self healing.I always took pride in knowing I would never slide, to the left or to the right because my love for you was always in sight, an ever shining light that would guide my feet on the straight and narrow path of faithfulness. This Trust See, to me being faithful is not just a simple act of celibacy; many have gone without the touch of another but held captive by the thoughts of the one that put this relationship asunder. He who threatens;
This Trust For me it is all encompassing, a state of mind that I often find lacking in today’s society, it seems the very thing we call Love is just another word for impropriety, slowly wearing away; This Trust When you profess love for one and give attention to another, even that very thing that may put this relationship asunder, and the foundation that relationship is built on has weakened; This Trust They say you can’t serve two masters, even if that’s not what your after, you can’t give your all to me as you’re throwing that message bottle into the sea hoping it reaches it’s destination wherever or whoever that may be, that’s not what people who are truly in love do to earn; This Trust Even though it has grown, that house of Love that we called a home, you allow the door to be held open wide so that the thief may come inside and steal away what was valuable and precious in my eyes. This Trust Don’t think that I’m just focusing on the physical act; it goes well beyond that fact, I know the circumstances are hard and the situation is stressing, and to me you’ve been nothing but a true blessing so it hurts me in such a major way. To you it may seem like jealousy, but I need for you to see that you deeply hurt me by confiding in another, the one who would put us asunder, that to me is just as important as celibacy. How can there ever again be; This Trust. © 2008 atruephoenix |
