'Tal': Number Twenty-SevenA Chapter by Kyari Hasutto
I told you this morning that the choir director and I had decided on a date to tell the rest of the choir the secret.
You responded that you had already told two people. It wasn't that you told them. It was that you told them. Make sense? No? The fact that the people were told doesn't bug me. The fact that you told people bugs me. I trusted you. I specifically trusted you not to tell anyone. But instead you betrayed that trust. You thought that it was time to give up the secret, without even consulting me. Tal, I trusted you. I thought after eighth grade you'd changed; that you had learned from your mistake. I wish I wasn't wrong. Even after I got upset about it, you insisted it wasn't a big deal. You're right. Partially. No, I'm sure those people aren't going to go around spreading it. For all I know, they still don't believe you. The principle is that with something small and insignificant you were unwilling to keep my trust. It didn't matter enough to you. I'm disappointed in you, Tal. © 2012 Kyari Hasutto |
