Coward

Coward

A Poem by Kyari Hasutto

I wish for the quiet release that only Death will bring
I then wish for just one last word, to finally say goodbye
I want to lose all feeling in these tortured limbs
Is it wrong to want to die?
To find what lies beyond?
I do not wish to hasten that which inevitably comes
But when the other option is my phobia
I choose the easy road: let me die a coward.

May I mention that this was written with my fear of being tortured in mind? I'm not contemplating suicide...

This was a very good poem. i can relate, due to some things that went on in my life and fleeting thoughts that I had. It makes me think of the uncertain feelings I had a while ago. Keep it up.

Hmm this poem is short and sweet. I think to end your own life is cowardice, but to be able to end your own life takes so much resolve, that how can you be labeled a such. I enjoyed it this poem. Thanks for sharing

Very strong words. You might be too hurt to go on with life, but if you quit you’re labeled a coward. Truthful in many ways. Good write.
