Reflective Nature

Reflective Nature

A Poem by Kyari Hasutto

"Did I do the right thing?"

I ask myself

"Was that the right choice?"

Reflections upon a past

That has been both rocky and smooth

I try to reflect on the good times

But end up reflecting the bad

When I made that mistake

Or didn't say something

I could have:

I should have.

But that is a curse of my reflecting nature

The epitome of two mirrors

Reflecting each other

Reflecting on reflections

Of reflections

Of reflections

Of reflections

Of reflections

Of reflections

Of reflections

Hmm... Probably the darkest piece of writing you've got here. I'm very impressed. :) It's definitely something anyone can relate to, and that's usually what the audience wants. lol! Everyone dwells on past mistakes, especially Christians (like you, a Mormon, and me, a Catholic, respectively), in general. It sucks having to feel guilt from the past and have light fear for the future.

This is quite the exaggerated piece, considering how much thought you put into it, but you can certainly get away with it. ^^ I especially love the picture you posted before it. It gives the reader a spiritual, yet guilty setting that fits well with the poem.

Great job!

The most significant thing about me if that I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (also called Mormons). If you have a problem with that...well, you shouldn't. But it is a b.. more..
