MY SHELL

MY SHELL

A Poem by bibin Sebastian
"

A man in search of his shell

"
A place where I felt suffocation once
A place from where I wanted to go out once
A place I believed, limited me once.
One day I broke it.
Came out with utmost joy
With all the expectations heavy
I ran far from my shell away.
The day I met with the world
was the last day I wanted to live outside.
Now I know the truth.
My shell is what makes me I am
A place that always comforted me
A place always wanted my presence
A place where I had unlimited ambitions
I went back to my shell
I tried to fit myself in the broken shell
I wanted to be that yolk once again.
The shell doesn't exist, I know.
Once broken, there is no way back there.

I do understand the below lines my friend.
"I went back to my shell
I tried to fit myself in the broken shell
I wanted to be that yolk once again.
The shell doesn't exist, I know.
Once broken, there is no way back there."
All of seek the place where we felt safe. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

Broken but strong enough to accept the reality. I love your writing using simple words sprinkled to take on a journey of a broken shell.

Well, Its how the reader takes it. But, I liked the way, you acknowledge that we all have been broken at some point in life and its absolutely fine. There is no need to be perfect. And holding the courage to say No where you do not want to be, liberating yourself feels great. Broken though but living with yourself is bliss.
