MARIE

MARIE

A Poem by Bobbie Coelho
"

A lovley woman

"
You glided away on a western wind
So silently, I didn’t hear your going
Even the sun’s reflection is dimmer knowing
The biggest diamond within it’s crown
Has forever gone
That s you Marie, that’s you.,.

Some people make a difference
Just by their very being
That’s you, Marie, that’s you
So full of joy and life
But death, so jealous, cut you down
With his cold and heartless knife

I didn’t need to know you well
Your dazzling smile warmed any room
You were sitting in
You were beautiful
Inside and out
Of that there is no doubt

I only found out today
But I’m reeling with shock
And I’ll miss you more than I can say.
I didn’t even say goodbye

The world is colder now
And diminished by your going

Marie has gone.
But she seems to be around.
Her smile and her beauty still amuse you.
You keep talking with her as if she is still over there.
Amazing write.
[P.S:That s you Marie, that’s you.,.---one apostrophe on t of "That s" will make it alright]

Moving poem - it is never easy to lose someone - good luck to you and I am sorry for your loss - wonderful poem

What a wonderful tribute to a friend. That penultimate stanza is one so many could have written, except we didn't and you did, and superbly.

'Some people make a difference ~ Just by their very being .. ' How true.

nice heartfelt poem, though the ending could use a little work to be more consistent with the poem's tone. :)
