Her Eyes

Her Eyes

A Poem by Bianka Tanori
"

My daughter, my best friend...

"
Her Eyes

When I look at your eyes, I see magic,
The kind of magic that grips your heart
And makes all pain and sadness disappear.
I see so much beauty, so much love that you have for me.
I watch you intently, and notice how eager you are to learn from me.
There are no words to explain the fascination you bring to me.
Knowing I created those eyes, and that beautiful smile.
All I want to do is show you what I have learned,
and keep you away from the pain that I have felt.
I have seen your eyes cry and all I want to do is hold you
like when you were a baby.
But I know that you are growing up, and I have to let you spread your wings.
As much as I would like you protect you from all harm,
I also know that I must allow you to experience it
so you can know what it's like to be a woman.
I creating my masterpiece, the project that I've been working on for 14 years.
As I watch you smile, and flutter your eyelashes,
I smile inside because I gave you that heart that is ever so special.
Your eyes always speak to me, words that you don't say.
I read your eyes and immediately answer your very thoughts.
Those big eyes of yours, can brighten my day with just your gaze.
For 14 years I have looked at you and become hypnotized,
it is a miracle to me to have such a beautiful daughter,
because every time I look at your eyes I realize angels do exist.
You are the apple of my eyes Vianee, my sunshine and my little birdy with the yellow bill!
