Gone baby gone

Gone baby gone

A Poem by Brook Hughes

The day you told me you were proud

Is a day I will never forget

It is the day I walked away

Without saying one word

It is the day I put all my troubles aside

The day I left you behind

If only I knew what was next

I want to take your pain away

Thank you for what you've done

Fogive for what you've done wrong

Are you proud of me dad?

Are you proud of what I've become?

Is that it?

Im sorry I made you suffer

I wish I could take it all away

All the words that were said

All of the harm that was made

I wish I could change it all

And go back to that day

But its too late

I'm already gone.

Wow deep and intriguing to what you speak of from vary of loves that came from one that makes you today. Well done with this poem. I mean I got lost a few times but, gathering my thoughts it was good.
