Alive in front of me

Alive in front of me

A Poem by Brook Hughes

I can't believe my eyes

I'm so happy...

You're home

You're back

Don't leave me

Not again

I'm afraid I will lose you

Fighting for our country

You said that is what you do best

We are your family

Don't leave us....

We love you

Don't go back

I wan't you to stay

So I can see you

I wan't to see you...

Alive in front of me everyday!

Sad. How we must all choose something to die for and the fact that your significant other chose to die for his county is a great thing. Hopefully he comes back and stays with you again. Good poem full of sadness and a tinge of despair at the departure of a beloved.

Wow so sad and so true as we know the meaning in any country in any family that when they go to war to fight for them and their country we rather they didn't. Since their is no promise that we'll see them alive again we rather they stay home with us where we see them alive in our eyes everyday of our life. Well done signifying how the ones left at home fill about the one's who are too far away.

This is so sad and happy at the same time. It tells so much the feeling of longing for a loved one to stay close and not disappear even if it is for a good reason.
Great write Brooke !
