† Waiting for you   †

 

 

I still spend my entire evenings waiting for you,

 

While sitting at the front porch for hours.

 

With my eyes staring at the distant line of horizon,

 

I remember about you and nothing else.

 

 

 

The passage of each and every day,

 

Makes your absence more and more certain.

 

But it still won’t stop me waiting for you,

 

Even though it gives me inevitable pain.

 

 

 

There are also chances for you to not come back,

 

That all I once had is all I’m going to have.

 

But with my heart stopped and veins chocked,

 

I will keep on waiting for you always.

The strongest line in the poem... Very beautiful again, in a aching way... Theme of "loss" again..
