But I can't remember me...

But I can't remember me...

A Poem by Bhavya Kaushik

...

But I can’t remember me…

I so clearly remember the past,

And still memorize every single day.

But now everything is turning into ashes,

And I only bleed pain along my way.

I know that I still exist in this brutal world,

But I barely know now who I am?

Here in nothingness I stand,

Where my life seems only like a game.

In my dreams you are always mine,

But in my life you are just a dream.

I only remember you and your name,

Which I only cry and scream.

In front of any mirror whenever I stand,

There is a stranger whom I see.

I still remember you...you… and you….

But… I can’t remember me…

But I can’t remember me

Wow...this is so very powerful. It is full of the torment of life. It is strange how most everyone at some point in their life faces an identity crisis. Sometimes it is hard to remember who we are through the pain. If we are not careful, the pain even becomes our identity. Then for sure it is harder to let go of our pain and heal. It is a scary thing to not be sure of who you are. Kudos on a tremendous write!

He's full of her, thus leading to forgetting oneself. This could be a case of love, though I could not tell whether or not she deserved it. Powerful piece written with such strong emotion in it. Keep writing.

lose of identity.....
a sacrifice...to the extend of losing oneself.......?
your imagination....touches the very core of selflessness....
in relationships...the only factor...that enrich any kind of relationship...
nice...very nice...

We do seem to forget ot lose ourselves in a relationship, and
this poem describes it perfectly.

In my lonely days I used to come back to my memory and look for my two sons.. and Wonder.. What I have done in this life to deserved such a pain.. when I can be home laying in bed with my two sons .. each on them laying on my side.. and I cry and say.. How can life be so powerful and leave us death without dieying?
I say...When I died I want to have a huge party...so my family know..
I learn to love and I learn to let go.. in life.. much more
I learn to died and be alive at the same time..
There's lessons in life we can't teach others
But at the same time..
There's many peoples who have never loved
and I know Miracles happen each day
I am one .. Miracle and my Son who is alive
Is my Miracle of God and He knows it..
For this all I have is thanks giving
and humbleness to God.
I don't want to feel this pain again.. I will really died

Very passionate and romantic I must say. It's more like a song only needs to be set to a tune.

A excellent poem. We can get twist up so easy in this world we live in. Sometime we must stop. Take a inventory of our life to know what is really important. I understand seeing the stranger in the mirror. We need to hold on to hope and kindness.
