Still with me...

Still with me...

A Poem by Bhavya Kaushik

Still with me

With ticking of every second by this clock,

You visit my lonely mind.

But then all of a sudden reality strikes me,

As I’m living with the world you’ve left behind.

You are still with me….

I still feel your presence in this room,

My heart still feels for your soul.

Your belongings still smell of you,

And near my heart I will keep them all.

You are still with me…

With every tear which rolls out of my eyes,

With my hope which I know will never break.

And I miss you every time I watch a sunset lonely,

As loving you was my choice and not a mistake.

I have tried very hard to tell myself that you’re gone…

But though! You are still with me…

…You are still with me…

This is so sad Bhavya! I can't wait for the day that you
are writing about new love... it will make my heart sing
for you !! :)

But, even in all of its sadness, it's such a beautiful poem.
You really know how to play with your reader's emotions my friend.
Ten minutes indeed! That just shows how extremely talented you are.
And I love the layout -- always so creative :)

Great work as always my friend!

what a beautiful write, Bhavya...it shows your creativity since you did it in such a short time....but on a sadder note, it shows what is in your heart and on your mind. the depiction of the loneliness and sorrow felt by the person leaving come out clearly in this piece...it is lovely and done with the love that was once there and your heart cannot forget.

BEAUTIFUL!!! THis is excellent... it is straight form the heart....most glorious is the true love that lasts and not the fancy that always does pass!

This reminds me of one of my poems 'If you think'
It is one of my favorite compositions and like this one, it was written spontaneously. A lot of reviewers had commented that spontaneity adds life to writings and hence they liked it.

It is the same way I feel for this poem of yours. The visual effects, as usual are great. The first one, especially is fantastic.
Apart from those pictures, every stanza creates powerful images in the mind.
This font seems to be your favorite one. I must tell you it works very well with the theme of nostalgia.

As loving you was my choice and not a mistake.
- is my favorite line here.
Perhaps because I feel that way too. At every point of time in life we are faced with a choice. If I had the chance to live my life all over again, I would accept the same choice.

I'd like to point out a couple of things here :

reality struck me, = strikes me
Your belongings still have a smell like you = belongings still smell of you
rolls out from my eyes = rolls out of my eyes
every time I lonely watch a sunset=every time I watch a sunset alone

Another good one Bhavya from you.
I'm taking it to my library.
