Lonely without you...

Lonely without you...

A Poem by Bhavya Kaushik

.......

Lonely without you…

Watching this tear as it falls into lonely space,

And I wonder as it drops into life's nameless place.

Depression sets in and walks right in front of my sight,

As here I'm so lonely in darkness of this cold night.

With this much loneliness I'll never be the same again,

I may never say a word but you are not the one to blame.

It's a year and a half now but you are still on my every thought,

Every tear I held in falls, and now I can't seem to stop.

I feel so alone now that I even don't know what to do,

As I only wish... you would have taken me away with you...

Beautiful.
There is so much pain inside that is invisible to the world. Sometimes the tears fall to express the grief inside but can they ever wash away all the pain...?

My answer is no.

In fact, I see the intensity increasing with every new composition of yours.
The most beautiful poetry is that which flows out of a broken heart. Your work is proof of that.

Thank you for entering it into the Lonely Contest.

Leukemia

Feeding tubes
Operations
Spinal taps
Bone marrows
Saving lives
Parents crying
Children dying
Clinging to life
On a hope
Wishful thinking
Prolonged results
Death is eminant
Praying in pause
Attached to machines
To stay alive
Battling for time
Gasping for breath
Inhaling oxygen
Keeping you stable
With positive thinking
To ease the pain
Only for so long
Until it strikes back again
Fighting to survive
Through another day
Never giving up
To the last moment
Exhausting all possibilities
Before letting go
Of a sad fate
Illness in remission
Or way too late.

Oh to leave... when the pain is too great. The memories won't seem to fade, nor dig so deep for that matter. I feel you man, a childhood friend of mine died in an accident when she was 17. Its gets you deep and leaving just seems to stay on the mind.
But sticking around keeps us telling the stories... beautiful s**t man, beautiful feelings usually hurt the worse.

Your sadeness is felt deeper and deeper through your words... Your emotion is so "A fleur de peau" (French expression for something that is so touching) that it breathes through your poetry Bhavya. You are very good at conveying your feelings, and it gives your poetry so much intensity and a unique aura.
I hope that through your poetry, you find recomfort and ease as regard as your pain ...
Sincerely receive my Salam (peace)

Wonderful job with the pictures and print. Loved the o's in red. You are so creative. Tis a sad poem, but lovely all the same. Love is never to be regretted. Sorry for your loss, but glad for the joy of your knowing and being her friend. As always, impeccably written.

i have read some of the reviews down ,i think its suffering what makes a writing so strong and so great ,it gives it lots of reality and greatness and leaves us for a long while thinking of it ,this is so sad ,but this is literature as i understand it ,you have to suffer to write beautifully its a very cruel truth ,nevertheless its the truth ,this is literature and,M this is great writing

You have such a passionate soul Bhavya...

it's truly what makes your writing brilliant
in my opinion. Passion and love just pours
from your pen... as does your heartbreak,
which as Caffeine said, tends to make our
writing that much better... how ironically
true, and sad.

I absolutely love your work my friend! Truly...
Though I do wish it didn't derive from
your suffering.

Outstanding work, as always... !
