Nothing but sad goodbyes…

 

 

There is nothing I could ever say,

Nothing I could do to make you stay.

And now my only wish is for you to see,

Of what will happen if you ever leave me…

 

I know I let you down but I won't do it again,

And I'm even ready to accept your every blame.

Stop now… forsake of the pain which I kept inside,

Forsake of the tears which I never cried.

 

 

But in spite of that you left with wet eyes,

And gave me nothing but sad goodbyes…

 

 

Without you, I don't know what will I do,

I will always remain incomplete without you.

Without you I can't breathe, without you I can't sleep,

And from my heart I will never ever let you leave.

 

You were my life and will always be,

As you know how much you mean to me.

You were the only one that I got right,

And you will always remain here inside.

 

 

But you left me with these tearful eyes,

And gave me nothing but sad goodbyes…

Love is such a powerful emotion. It is also fickle and fleeting, which makes me generally shy away from love poems. I know that is unfair.

Ha, wow, well you certainly know what its like to be left behind, as do I. May I say that you capture the emotion very well. I think you could sharpen the poem up by cutting out some words and keeping to the raw emotion of the piece. It really is a very nice piece,though.
