I miss you mom!

I miss you mom!

A Poem by Bhavya Kaushik

I miss you mom…

I miss you mom, while walking alone in the rain,

I miss your tender touch mom.

But I know you'll never be back again.

I miss you mom, at every morning and at every night.

I miss your lullaby and your bedtime stories.

And now I'm searching just to get your one more sight.

I miss you mom, after returning from school to home,

I miss your welcome and your smile.

But now you're gone mom…so long.

I miss you mom, whenever I see my elder sister,

Who is working so hard to get me well…

Mom! See I'm even no longer your old prankster.

I miss you mom, so please come back soon.

As here I want you to stay,

For twenty four hours a day

I know this is really a hard time,

And mom! I'm committing a crime,

Of missing you so much tonight!

Bhavya Kaushik
Ahmmm! I actually wrote this poem when I was either 13 or 14 :( :(

I was first confused while posting it here :(..So I asked my friends for their suggestions :)

So finally I came up with the decision that I'll keep it here :)

Why would you remove it? Who says it doesn't meet WC standards? It is from your heart. That's what matters. Did your mom pass away or go some where? Motherhood is all of those things and more. No one sacrifices more-nurtures more-and cries more for her children or prays more, even when they are grown. :-) This would be perfect for Mother's day that is coming up!

this site is for us to put up and share our writing,
it is also for us to review and help one another
why would you think that there are standards here?
this site is for the elites and the newbies at writing

i think that this piece is honest and straight forward...
whats wrong with that?
to me if a piece is written with feelings then it is a piece worth reading
^-^
thats all i have to say, you obviuosly write with your feelings then and now
so dont ever think that any of your piece is not worth putting up here

One values one's mom in one's life as he values no other person in his/her whole world. Recently, my best friend's mom passed away of cancer and I could feel the pain of my friend. But the pain I felt was nothing compared to his. A person's mother is one's closest person in life.

Somethings in life are irreplacable.

Dear Bhavya,
This is such an emotional write and I don't think so you should remove it from here. I really loved it and specially the last few lines which are so deep and true. Brilliant work !
