Some thousand miles...

Some thousand miles...

A Poem by Bhavya Kaushik

Some thousand miles…

I walked some thousand miles…

Just to turn back that time…

When sky turned black and heaven poured rain…

But these tears still never came…

And now I wonder…

Will I ever be back again?

Coz I walked some thousand miles…

Just to turn back that time…

When my world was just you…

Now our love gone away…

Even this sky turned blue…

And brightness came my way…

Since I walked some thousand miles…

Just to turn back that time…

When nightmares were best friends …

But now they can't pass me by….

There's no need of any fight…

Coz I don't need you tonight…

You should know that…

I walked some thousand miles…

Just to turn back that time….

Yeah…I walked some thousand miles…

And now…I even don't want to turn back that damn time…

This is also like any other of your work which is very beautifully written but the theme of this piece is very different from rest of your work...
This is somehow towards an optimistic side...
I agree with Ruby Moon on the line

"YeahI walked some thousand miles

And nowI even don't want to turn back that damn time"
Its really like as if you tried so hard to turn back that time and faced a lot of pain and sufferings which in the end proved pointless and of no use..
This is really a nice work....Seriously..
Good one man!

I liked the pics a lot and the parallel irony.
Very true write.

YeahI walked some thousand miles

And nowI even don't want to turn back that damn time

And lyrical too.

I liked the way you drawn the parallel feel.
Throughout the start you wished to turn back time and in the end you surprised by the irony of time.
Awesome work dude!

This poem would be great live with someone on a drum kit in the background. Cool.

It sounds so much like a song in my head. Like it is the chorus. Do you right songs ever? Just wondered.
Thanks for sharing. There actually is a song that says "I will walk 10 thousand miles but I do not think yours sounded like that at all. I was hearing it more like a blues song. No offence please. Some people do not like their poetry compared to a song.

A great piece indeed.
I liked the beginning and the end both the same way I liked everything in between.
One can relate. Everyone.
Hope,hope,hope,hope once again,hope,then hope,hidden frustration,hidden hope again..
I love this piece.
Great.Awesome.Sad.Beautiful.
thanks for sharing.

you are a self styled master of love poem. here too, the incurable romantic poet within you rolled down the path of dense love."Just to turn back that time...

This one is refreshingly different.
I love it how you repeat 'Just to turn back that time.' all through and then end with 'And nowI even don't want to turn back that damn time'
I didn't see that coming.

Nice pictures and good use of color, as well.
Great write.

I think that you should be really happy in writerscafe now innit? With talents like these, It's no wonder you out wrote me in such a short time.

Coming to the poem, I have now learnt to expect the repetitive lines in the poem.

"I walked some thousand miles…

Just to turn back that time…"

These lines were all over the poem. I wonder why you do that specifically, but it creates a good and nice effect. But this poem was very easy to understand, unlike your other poems. Either I am getting good at reading poems and analyzing it or you have purposly wrote an easy one so I could understand. Ha ha!

I had some problems understanding the significance and meaning of the last lines though. As you have said all through the poem that you would like to turn back that time, but at the end you said that YOu don't want to turn back that time. I didn't understand that bit. All through the poem you have given the reader the reasons as to why you want to turn back that time. But the last line without any reason just said that you don't want to turn back that time anymore.

I wanted to know as to why is that.

Thanks for posting this to me. I'm mad at you though why didn't you post this to me sooner? You should send your read request immediately after adding a certain peice allright?

A good write altogether. ~KA~

i like the last line
"And nowI even don't want to turn back that damn time"
it kind of made all the pain and suffering pointless
its like how we pine for someone for days, months even
and one day we realise that they are just a memory...
no longer a painful memory and that no matter how much we try,
we cant remember why it was so painful or why it mattered so much

the one word variation in front of "...I walked some thousand miles" reflects some of what i just tried said
the way the memory changes... sometimes even without us knowing
as usual, sorry if i am off the mark, but its just my opinion
^-^
thank you for the read request
