Fairytale

Fairytale

A Poem by Brooke Graco

Your forest green eyes caress my soul,
While your touch brings down all of my walls.
Your soft, sweet lips make me sweat,
This, how could I ever forget.
You make me laugh, sing and dance,
I feel like I am always in a trance.
Your voice makes me shiver with delight,
You are the only thing that's in my sight.
What makes this fairy tale end with a tear,
I'm not your princess,
the one you hold so dear.

Very nice, Brooke. The bittersweet ending was just right.

Thank you Pryde
The rhyming is great, the emotions so lacy....till the end when the bittersweetness was a bit of a twist ending. When a simple touch can make you forget to wear a mask or protect your soul, the feelings are real. When they are one sided, it is like a knife in the heart. Good write. Lydi**
