Skipping Beats

Skipping Beats

A Poem by Sarah

Skipping Beats

You left a sweet tingle on my lips.

The sudden shock you caused me.

The way you pulled me back.

The kiss of my dreams,

the look on my face.

I didn’t look back,

I knew you would be smiling too.

I’ll remember that moment forever,

The way you surprised me,

the way my heart skipped a beat,

how your lips felt against mine.

The pure sweetness I felt for you that moment,

I still feel like we belong together,

I know you feel the same.

My heart belongs to you,

hold me tight and never let go.
