Something I Never Knew

Something I Never Knew

A Poem by Sarah

Something I Never Knew

The silence in the night,

the words whispered in my ear,

turns my stomach inside out.

I want to lash out in the dead silence.

Turn and tell that voice to leave me alone.

I learned something I did not want to learn.

The fact that I was just a one time deal.

Something that was never important to you.

I was just a game,

You thought you would get away with it,

But nothing ever escapes me.
