EclipseA Poem by LadySoDivineThe Sun loved the Moon so much, he died every night to let her breathe. We were like the Moon and the Sun Two lovers searching for each other, But we could never really meet When one came, the other was already gone And as we often fell to the arms of another, Our spirits would crumble to our feet We knew of each other's existence And so we desperately searched Not realizing how close we really were Our hope and unending persistence Wanted us to meet, because we were perched In each other's hearts forever So you were the bright Sun That lit up the sky and waited the whole day For me with your loving flame And I was the Moon Lonely in the night, leaving in dismay Whenever the morning came But finally one day, we caught up. Your flames caressed me And we could finally share a kiss I finally saw you, in your magnificent sunup, And everything that we could be In our consuming, beautiful eclipse.
