Empty gaze

Dedicated to somebody I used to know and was very close with... Hope he'll see it.

You've already been alone with yourself

And your eyes begin to seem absent

It feels like you've left your soul on a shelf

And like your pain had become constant

I wanted so much to help you,

But you just closed yourself away

Because I know just what you're going through,

The hurt that you suffer each and every day

So it fades away, the smile you once wore

And your mind is like an endless maze

Your saddened eyes remain nothing more

But two pools of an empty gaze.
