Under the same sky II

The second part of my poem. This is a leap of 5 years into the future. From the males' perspective.

It has been five years now.

And again you're standing in front of me.

You're much different now, I can tell.

And I just wish that you could see...

This scene brings me back in time.

Because the forever rain is still pouring.

And even though you look more tough,

I can see that your tears are still falling.

So now I see how much I've hurt you,

Now I see how much pain I've caused.

Just because of something I wished to bring back

That, now I realize, was long lost.

So I say:

"You probably hate me now, because I can see it in your eyes.

But even if it's hopeless I will continue to try...

And even if you're out of range, you still mean the world to me.

And if getting you back requires a change, just tell me what do you want me to be.

I know there's no turning back,

And that I can't change what I have already done.

I know that I lack kindness and warmth,

But I promise that this time... I won't run.

Just wait and see, because no matter what you say or do

Someday you will be back together with me,

And I will come back home...

To you.

And your cold words do sting,

But I can still tell you one thing -

As long as we're under the same sky,

There will always be a 'you and I'. "
